Good question!
Simply put it's drawing a knife from a sheath attached to your belt usually at hip level and sticking the blade into a target the fastest from behind 3 meters. Some of you out there may have thrown knives this over the years while camping or hunting, or seen someone do it in person, or maybe on online. At a tournament or event that holds a fast draw competition you can watch and learn to throw many different ways and even enter to compete if you already have knife throwing skills. This is not a show up and do event if you have never thrown a knife but you do not need to be a pro to compete.
Our goal is to set up a set of rules that any event organizer can use and if you compete in any event through out the year and place 1st through 3rd-we only have first place 1st to 3rd as winners BUT if there are more than 40 contestants 1st through 4th get a spot in the finals, at any of event we sanction you are qualified to compete in the finals held once a year! Where the event will be held is still to be determined but will more than likely change each year to a different host.
The idea will be to have small events and large events that are quick draw only and can be held one day or 2 if need be depending on the number of contestants and the number of other events is held a ta tournament.
The event itself will always be the same regardless of who hosts the event to qualify for the finals at the end of the year. We will be following the same rules no matter what state or country it is held in that way everyone is on the same playing field.
If you want to have a quick draw event that meets our rules just hit us up and we will gladly put you down and keep a list of the winners!
If you host an event and there is 10 people or less then it is only 1st and 2nd that qualify for the finals 20 to 30 1st to third qualify.
No need to qualify more than once to make it to the finals! You can of course continue to go and compete at any event you want but for some people it is hard to get to more than 1 or 2 large tournament events a year which is why anyone we approve can host a quick-draw throw down event, you only need timers and to video all throws.
